The Murder of Brandon Teena

On December, 31 1993, less than a week after being brutally raped and beaten, transgender man Brandon Teena was murdered along with Lisa Lamber and Phillip DeVine inside of a small farmhouse in rural Humboldt, Nebraska. His death would go on to inspire a documentary and later, an Academy Award winning film as well as being one of the impetuous of America's hate crime laws. This is his story.
