They started out as an offshoot of the Seventh Day Adventist, but over nearly two decades, Canada’s “Anthill Kids” would become infamous for the cruelty they carried out in the name of their leader, Roch Thériault. This week we look at Roch’s earlier life, and the formation of the commune he would go on to lead, the earliest known crimes committed by them, and the public’s perception of the group.
