On October 12th, 1986 the bodies of lovers Cathy Thomas and Rebecca Dowski were found inside of Thomas's 2980 Honda Civic. They had been bound with rope, strangled, and their throats had been cut so deeply that they were nearly decapitated. Police had little to go on. N one had seen a thing, none of the victims possessions seemed to be missing, and beyond a clump of hair clutched in Cathy's hand, there was no evidence. Over the next few years, three more couples would go missing, with only two of them being found. Police and the community suspected they had a serial killer on their hands, but did they? This week we take a look at the Colonial Parkway Murders, as well as a double homicide from 1996 that may be connected to at least one of the unsolved double homicides.
